Home lift / For seniors
When the bedroom and bathroom remain upstairs and stairs are no longer taken for granted, moving need not be the answer. A home lift, platform or stairlift will keep the house barrier-free and the family together.
Seat on a rail along the staircase. For someone who can walk but finds stairs painful or exhausting. Fastest installation, minimal impact on the house.
The wheelchair platform runs on a rail alongside the stairs; after parking, the staircase remains passable. Suitable for straight and curved staircases, indoors and outdoors.
Connects two levels (garden and ground floor, ground floor and first floor) without a shaft or cabin. Slow, quiet, plug-in operation. Suitable for wheelchairs, walking frames and prams.
When dealing with multiple storeys, daily use by the whole family or comfort comparable to an apartment building, the answer is a home lift with a cabin. For wheelchairs we recommend an internal cabin size of approximately 1.1 x 1.4 m, automatic doors and controls at a height reachable from a seated position. A comparison of technologies can be found on the page home lift.

Eligibility criteria, co-payment and maximum amounts depend on the individual's health status and household income, so we make no advance promises. We will verify what is feasible in your situation and prepare the technical documentation for the application.

A stairlift is for someone who can walk but finds stairs exhausting. An inclined platform lift along the stairs is for a wheelchair when you do not want to alter the house. A vertical platform lift connects two levels without a shaft. A full-sized elevator is for daily use by the whole family and multiple floors. During the survey we will discuss this taking into account your health condition and how the house is used.
Yes, the controls are designed for a single user: buttons positioned within reach from the wheelchair, hold-to-run controls on platforms, automatic doors in lifts, an emergency button and telephone or GSM module in the cabin. Training is included in the handover.
The technician will assess the staircase and alternatives, discuss your health and practical needs with you, and propose a solution including any possible grant. Quote within 48 hours.
